Green Swans Challenge - Can you bring a good snack food every day?

What makes a good snack food?

Healthy: containing some vitamins, minerals or nutrients for the body
Less refined or less processed the better: the food maintains its nutrients
Contains protein and carbohydrate: lasts longer in the stomach and sustains the appetite
Small in size and volume: easier to eat and less daunting to try
Not packaged, or in re-usable packaging: no unnecessary wrappers

Probably the best snack food out there is a piece fresh fruit. It is conveniently packed in its own wrapper (which most times can be eaten) and any waste if discarded completely breaks down (or consumed by animals or birds).

Other great snack items are:
Yogurt (taken to school in a washable container with lid)
cheese and dip such as hummus or guacamole
crackers or breaksticks
mini bowls containing sliced ham, olives, cheese
dried fruit and cereal pieces.
